Taryn Sessel

Taryn is a former partner in Prophet’s Organization & Culture practice, based in London, and an expert in shaping and driving people-centric business strategies.

She believes understanding people, culture and HR is the key to uncommon growth and success in all business projects. And she helps companies thrive in radically changing environments, refocusing to meet the demands of digital transformation, hybrid work environments and shifting ESG landscapes. Bringing more than 20 years of global human resources experience across talent management, change management, leadership advisory and organizational transformation, she’s committed to ensuring projects that deliver practical value.

Taryn is also adept at managing teams in highly complex and matrixed organizations. Her experience includes the mining and extractive sector, as well as consumer goods. Before joining Prophet, she worked at Anglo American and Unilever. She has lived and worked in South Africa and led projects in Africa, South America, North America and Europe.

Taryn earned an honors degree from the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa. She has lived and worked in South Africa and now resides in London where she enjoys the theatre, breezy reality TV and a good bottle of wine. She never misses a chance to visit the sea.
