Derek is a driving force behind Prophet’s Experience Strategy practice, based in New York. He has advised some of the world’s biggest brands on how to find new avenues for growth by turning human insights into viable business strategies that connect and include everyday people.

Derek enjoys rediscovering the world around him and drawing inspiration from the people and experiences in his life, an outlook that is nicely summarized by one of his favorite Proust quotes: “The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeing new sights, but in looking with new eyes.” A true advocate for the end user, he continually challenges his teams to see the world through new eyes and challenge preconceived notions in service of helping businesses redefine themselves for the future.

He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School and has spoken at international conferences on digital strategy and consumer insights. When he’s not at work, you can find him playing an evening game of tennis or pickleball in New York City, or on a hike upstate.
