Michael Au

Michael is a Senior Associate at Prophet’s Hong Kong office.
Since joining Prophet, Michael has been involved in projects for globally recognized clients across a range of industries, including insurance, transportation, as well as retail and consumer. Notably, he has supported customer segmentation and demand space analyses that helped to prioritize key growth opportunities across 3 markets in APAC.

Prior to joining Prophet, Michael was at a multinational management consulting firm where he had 2 years of experience supporting both domestic and international clients in strategy engagements, including competitor analysis, market entry and expansion strategy assessment, feasibility studies, and organizational design. Notably, he supported a client, a major player within Asia’s F&B sector, to select a JV partner for the expansion of its product and brand into key European markets. Michael’s support in this project and others led clients to achieve clear insights into competitor capabilities and areas of growth, a refined organizational strategy, and increased confidence in market entry strategy.

Michael received a B.A. from King’s College London and an M.Sc from University College London.
